THE PIRATE REPUBLIC BAR & GRILL

A black and white version of the Pirate Republic Bar & Grill located on the New River in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The Pirate Republic is a popular dining establishment with many people arriving by boat instead of a car. This is common and at the same time unique to the city of Fort Lauderdale which has certainly earned it's nickname as The Venice of America.

My name is Mark Andrew Thomas and I'm a photographer and filmmaker currently residing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I grew up in Florida right next to the Everglades and although I photograph a wide variety of subjects and locations, the Florida Everglades will always be my first love.
