THE CHRISTMAS TREE AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER
The world famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is the centerpiece of the Christmas season in New York City. The official tree lighting ceremony is a huge event every year attracting thousands of people from all over the world. The ceremony is broadcast live on NBC every year and features celebrity performers, singers, and hosts. The iconic Prometheus Statue in the lower plaza looks out over the ice rink that is up all winter.
