ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER
A view of the beautiful One World Trade Center located in Lower Manhattan at the Northwest corner of the site of the original World Trade Center Towers which were completely destroyed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The building reaches a height of 1,776 feet (including the antenna) which is an intentional reference to the year the Declaration of Independence was signed. The building is 104 floors high but with 94 actual stories and is currently the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. It shares the same address as the original North tower of the World Trade Center.
The architect for the new World Trade Center was David Childs of the firm Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill. Construction began on the structure in December, 2006 and was officially opened on November 3, 2014 with Conde Nast becoming it�s first tenant. Tenants to come in the future include Kids Creative, Legends Hospitality, and GQ among others.
