NEW YORK CITY TRAFFIC
Traffic at Union Square on a Saturday night in New York City. I watched this intersection for almost an hour while waiting for friends and became fascinated with the comings and goings and activity of this intersection. I also have a long exposure from this intersection that night which shows the traffic trails as people wait to cross.
The miniature effect you see in this photograph is created through the use of a Tilt-Shift lens although the effect can also be done in post production. I prefer the old school method as I can see right away whether or not the shot worked. Tilt-Shift photography brings the viewer's eye directly to the focal point of the photograph by blurring out distracting elements and focusing on a particular point of interest.
