CRESCENT MOON AT BIG CYPRESS
A beautiful sliver of a crescent moon rises over the swamps of Big Cypress National Preserve. This was photographed in the early morning hours while I was out photographing the Milky Way. I knew the moon would be coming up at some point but I was there to photograph the Milky Way and didn't really have plans to shoot the moon. When the moon finally appeared on the horizon it was one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen. Everything else stopped and I had to frantically change lenses and set up before the moon got too high in the sky. I'm glad I was out that morning or I would have missed this beautiful scene.
