A GREAT PAIR
A Great Blue Heron and a Great White Egret bask in the last rays of sunset in the Florida Everglades. It was a real treat to see two of my favorite birds and be able to photograph them at the same time. Although they look very different, both birds are similar in their diet and hunting habits. Both feed on small fish, insects, and even larger prey such as turtles. Both are beautiful birds and are majestic and graceful in flight.
My name is Mark Andrew Thomas and I'm a photographer and filmmaker currently residing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I grew up in Florida right next to the Everglades and although I photograph a wide variety of subjects and locations, the Florida Everglades will always be my first love.
