THE Z TREE
The Z Tree along the scenic road in Everglades National Park is a well known natural landmark. Famous for it's Z shape the tree is located in the Dwarf Cypress Forest area along the main park road (also known as the scenic road) but not much is known about how the tree got it's unique shape. This little tree has survived hurricanes Andrew, Wilma, and Irma and is a beautiful natural landmark.
My name is Mark Andrew Thomas and I'm a photographer and filmmaker currently residing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I grew up in Florida right next to the Everglades and although I photograph a wide variety of subjects and locations, the Florida Everglades will always be my first love.
