SAINT LUCIE RIVER SUNSET
A flock of Ibis heads home for the night as sunset lights up the St. Lucie River in Port Saint Lucie, FL. Port Saint Lucie is located about an hour north of West Palm Beach and is surrounded by natural preserves and protected wildlife areas. The 7 mile long river St. Lucie River winds through the treasure coast and is a important part of the ecological health of the area. It is home to many varieties of wildlife including many species of birds, alligators, and even manatees.

My name is Mark Andrew Thomas and I'm a photographer and filmmaker currently residing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I grew up in Florida right next to the Everglades and although I photograph a wide variety of subjects and locations, the Florida Everglades will always be my first love.
