PROMETHEUS STATUE AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER
One of the most recognizable statues in the world is the Prometheus Statue at Rockefeller Center. This was photographed during the Christmas season when the ice rink is set up underneath the beautiful Christmas tree which is the centerpiece of Christmas at Rockefeller Center. The Prometheus statue was created by Paul Manship in 1934 and is a gilded cast bronze sculpture which is 18 feet tall and weighs 8 tons. It is the main attraction of the Lower Plaza and is one of the most photographed statues in the world.
