OCEAN SUNRISE
Cool breezes begin to blow off the Atlantic Ocean as a brilliant and colorful sunrise begins the day at Lauderdale by the Sea. Lauderdale by the Sea is about 4 miles north of Fort Lauderdale Beach and offers a quieter and more relaxing atmosphere. There are secluded areas such as this one which are hard to find further south. Fort Lauderdale Beach is fantastic but if you're in the mood for something calmer then Lauderdale by the Sea is your beach. That being said Lauderdale by the Sea does have nightlife and is famous for Aruba's, a seaside restaurant that's been a popular destination for decades. There is also a fishing pier you can stroll along and live entertainment every weekend.
My name is Mark Andrew Thomas and I'm a photographer and filmmaker currently residing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I grew up in Florida right next to the Everglades and although I photograph a wide variety of subjects and locations, the Florida Everglades will always be my first love.
