HORIZON OF STARS
The Milky Way Galaxy rises behind a Coconut Palm Tree in Everglades National Park at the southern tip of Florida. There is something mysterious and magical about going to a place that has dark enough skies to see the Milky Way. It's like going back to the dawn of time and seeing the night sky the way it was meant to be seen. To see the Milky Way you need to get as far from city lights and light pollution as possible. Living in Fort Lauderdale it takes me about 90 minutes to get far enough away to see sights like this. Definitely worth the trip though!
