Description
DAWN OF THE CROCODILE
A 13 foot American Crocodile glides along the surface of the water at sunrise in Everglades National Park. South Florida is the only place on the planet where alligators and crocodiles co-exist. Crocodiles are mostly seen at the southern end of the park where the water is brackish and on rare occasions have even been seen in the ocean at nearby beaches. Crocodiles have a flatter skull than alligators which enables to stay submerged in the water with only their eyes showing above the surface. American Crocodiles are much less aggressive than their Nile and Saltwater relatives and are similar in temperament to the American Alligator which is relatively docile.
