A STAR ODYSSEY

I want you to think when you look at this image of the Milky Way at Big Cypress National Preserve. Think about what you are actually looking at, you are looking at one of the bands of a spiral galaxy. Sometimes when I'm out there looking up at the stars it blows my mind to think about it. I also wonder what the galaxy would like from other planets in our solar system such as Mars or Venus. But whatever it may be, we have a pretty awesome view of our galaxy right here on Earth. Humbling and inspiring at the same time.

My name is Mark Andrew Thomas and I'm a photographer and filmmaker currently residing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I grew up in Florida right next to the Everglades and although I photograph a wide variety of subjects and locations, the Florida Everglades will always be my first love.
