A SOUTH BEACH SUNDAY

A cloudy day at South Beach in Miami, FL. This particular Sunday was very cloudy with dramatic skies and the threat of rain any minute. I wouldn't have had it any other way, the skies were much more interesting than they would have been had it been a sunny and clear day. And less hot too...

South Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world with it's colorful art deco hotels and restaurants, art galleries and shops, and it's wide sandy beaches. It's been the location for many films, been referenced in pop culture and music, and is a top tourist destination.

My name is Mark Andrew Thomas and I'm a photographer and filmmaker currently residing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I grew up in Florida right next to the Everglades and although I photograph a wide variety of subjects and locations, the Florida Everglades will always be my first love.
